All blocks are 9" finished. The snowball is quilted with a free motion cabbage rose, which is where the name originated. The fabrics are scrappy, combining dark red and tan. A small homespun plaid is used for the binding. The batting is Hobbs 100% wool. The use of the triangles on the edge was suggested by designer Shirley Botsford. The quilt was given to my husband's second cousin, Lynn Fabian, just because she is such a sweetie!
